Personality:  Calculating and calm, Saffire had the mind of a master tactician.  Unaffected by the malice of pride and jealousy which plagued other members of the Black Moon, he was, perhaps, the least malevolent of them all.  He does has a temper to match his calmness and when angered he becomes bitter and hostile towards the person that is causing his aggervation.  He is not trusting of anyone and liked to keep to himself in fear that they may betray him.

Normal Appearance:  While teaching Saffire wears a Sage's robe.  The robe is a very dark
blue color with black trim.  While out and about he wears a dark blue dress shirt and kahki dress pants.  His hair is a rich black and his eyes are sapphire blue.  Apparently it's no mistake that he looks almost exactly like a younger version  of King Endymion, and at first glance has been mistaken for the King of Crystal Tokyo.

Senshi Appearance:  In battle Saffire wears a dark blue General's jacket from his homeland with white pants.  Upon his forehead is an inverted black moon.  He also wears dark bluse gloves that match his jacket.

Powers Based On:  The Dark Crystal

Henshin Phrase:  None

Powers:  Saffire has complete control over the energy flow of the Dark Crystal.  If he wants
to he can turn off the energy to a certain source, or boost the power.  He is the only one known to have this much control over it.

Telekinisis:  Saffire can use his mind to to lift small objects, himself and others by simply concentrating on it.

Force Shield:  Saffire can create a force shield around himself and whoever is standing within feet of him to block attacks

Dark Crystal Artifacts:  Since Saffire will not use his dark magic to harm others he is able to transfer his dark energy into the form of an artifact.  These artfacts vary is shape, size and purpose.

Weapons/Equipment

The Dark Crystal:  The Dark Crytsal is the source of all Dark Power that the forces of Nemesis used.  If an enemy needs to use energy to do his/her spells it comes from the Dark Crystal.  The Crystal is located in a sercet cove that only Saffire knows about.  If one were looking at it there it seems to be branches of ewnergy flowing into the earth and out.  Those branches are the sources of power for the villians.

Key Card:  Saffire uses this card to insure that nobody else will ever be able to use the Dark Crystal.  This card keeps the control panel of the Dark Crystal locked beneath a surface of indestrucable glass.

History

Saffire is the younger brother of the ruler of the dark planet called Nemesis.  He and his brother along with others that called themselves the Dark Moon Family were banished there by the Queen of Cyrtsal Tokyo, Neo-Queen Serenity, because they refused to give up their ways and be 'brain washed' like the rest of the world.

Years after the banishment, Diamond and Saffire, after recruiting members of the Dark Moon Family, attacked Crystal Tokyo.  Their goal was to utterly destroy the once beautiful city and take back what was rightfully theirs.  The only flaw in there plan was Diamond.  He had fallen in love with the tyrant Queen and sought to make her his bride.  Saffire saw the weakness in this and tried to turn his brother's eyes, but in the end, Diamond couldn't give up his feelings for Serenity.

Another flaw in their plan was Wiseman.  He was only using the brothers and the Dark Moon Fmaily to bring forth his ultimate goal, the Doom Phantom.  Saffire saw this plot early and went to stop it.  He took the key that controlled the Dark Crystal and ran.  He tried to warn his brother, but was mortally wounded.

He was found by the four sisters of the Dark Moon Family who were now healed.  They helped him and he found out about the love that Prisma had for him was true love and not a simple crush as he had passed it off as.  Determined to warn his brother, he went against Prisma's pleads for him to stay and rest and went after Wiseman and Diamond.  He was hit baddly once again, but his message got through to Diamond.

Right before he was hit with the fatal blast, Saffire teleported himself to the hollow center of the Dark Crystal, where he stayed for two years.  He did not age at all during that time period as he was trying to heal his body.  When he was well enough to get out of his prison, he found out that his brother had died in the arms of Sailor Moon.

It was her fault because he died protecting her.  Saffire became inraged and was ready to attack the palace right then and there.  Weakness stopped him from his plot and he thought of a better plan.

Saffire, or now known as Professor Cain Nemis, is the tutor to Chibi-Usa at the Crystal Palace.  He is the strictest teacher that the royal couple could find and Chibi-Usa hates him with a passion.  Cain makes schooling extremly hard on the little princess, but because she learns everything so well, her parents see that Cain is a wonderful teacher, despite his harsh standards.

He waits...he waits for the perfect time to strike.  To take down the entire palace with one single shot.  He had almost succeded when he made Chibi-Usa research the Blood Lust spell.  That brought down everyone's moral.  Now..its only a matter of time before he strikes again
