The ball had been so wonderful.  She couldn't remember the last time she had had so much fun.  Lady Gaia sighed as she looked at herself in her mirror.  She still wore her ball gown and smiled at the reflextion. She ran her hand over the spot where Charles had kissed her cheek and sighed happily.  Suddenly her viewing globe bursted to life.

She turned around to see a scene before her.  Her heart sank.  "Oh no..no.." she muttered as she looked at the two children sleeping in front of her.

Tears wilted up in her eyes.  "What should I do...if..." she started to say and choaked on a sob.

Charles! her mind cried out for a brief second.

Charles head shot up as he heard his name being called in his mind. "Lady Gaia," he said and ran to her quarters. He burst through the door without knocking and run over to her nad placed his hands to her arms. "What is it My Lady? Are you ok?" he asked he asked in a worried voice.

Lady Gaia nodded.  "I'm sorry I scared you..I just really need help right now..please..." she said softly as she threw her arms around him and pulled him closer to her.

"Anything my Lady. Ask me and I shall help you anyway I can," he said holding her closer.

"I..I don't know what to do..I've been asked for my blessing upon a child..if I don't give the blessing the child will not survive past three years, for it will go insane with the energies in it.  But if I do..we..we might not ever..."s he said and sobed quietly in Charles' chest.  "I don't know what I should do..I've never had to make this decision before."

Charles held Gaia close to his chest as she sobed. "Please my Lady. I need more information on this subject. Who's child are you refering to and what would happen if you do bless tihs child?" he asked softly.

Lady Gaia shook her head.  "I'm sorry Charles..but I'm not allowed to discuss the future of one of my children...and by that I mean the parents not the child created.  This child will not live because of the energies flowing through its body..because of its parents and the energies that flow through them.  By giving my blessing I will increase the energies and add my energies to him, making this child one of the most powerful there can be. Or my energies will cancel out theirs making him normal." she explained looking up into his eyes for some help.

"My love, you have to think about what this child can do...can he be a threat to mankind? Or can this child help mankind," he said and ran a hand through Gaia's hair.

Lady Gaia shook her head.  "That's very hard to say, my love.  I cannot see the future of this child, only know what potential it has.  This child could follow the lines of his/her father.  Be brave and noble and caring.  Or it could follow its mother.  And if it were to get the power of Gaia and its parents, then we might as well say the world is at a lost.." she said sorrowfully.

"My Lady, I know this is a hard decsion to make. But every child deserves the right to live. Even if they can be a threat to mankind. Because there will be people like the Sailor Senshi and there allies will be there to prevent the end of this world and our universe," he said and held her close.

"Charles I..I don't know..I don't think the Senshi would be able to handle this child when he or she reaches their full level." she said.  "But you are right." she said and instantly they were in her sanctuary.

Images filled Charles' mind as he remembers to when he entered Gaia's room. Felt if there was a second child. "My Lady? Is there another child?" he asked. "And if there is," he said and thought for a moment. "Then that can only mean one thing. That if one becomes what you speak of, then the other is like the counter and they keep both keep one another in check." he said and looked to her.

Lady Gaia shook her head.  "No Chalres..I would have to create the second child in order for the first one to live." she explained.  "Maybe you are right though.  I just hope that all this will work out in the end.  But I'm so scared of what will happen.  There is so much power flowing between the parents, these children...I just hope that I'm not making a mistake." she said to him.

"The only way to have power is to know how to use it," he said and looked at Gaia. "The only why I see it is if you created a second child that will beable," he thought for a moment. "To match the others power," he said.

Lady Gaia nodded and took a seed from the tree and held it in her hand, allowing it to grow slowly.  "Oh child, you are created only to counter your sibling.  I know that your parents shall love you dearly, I just hope that this does not bring your destruction." she whispered and looked up at the tree thinking.

Charles looked on. "What are you planing my love?" he asked as he walked a bit closer to her but stayed out of the way so she could do her work.

The seed pulsed in Lady Gaia's hand.  "This child shall be a child of Gaia, born from a mortal mother.  This child will have all the positive, negative and Earthian energies that his brother will have.  They will be oppisites in power, and yet have the same amount.  I just pray that their father will be the one to raise them."

"But, we are never to tell the father that there are two children instead of one.  Until the day of birth, nobody will know.  I just hope that the children are loved and cared for equally." she said and watched the seed grow.

Charles nodded as he watched. "But should we tell someone about this? I mean you and I will know about this. Maybe we should talk to Jeremy as well. Let him know what is going on," he said. "But I leave the decsion up to you," said Charles with a slight bow.

Lady Gaia shook her head.  "No..nobody else must know of this.  For I am already interferring with nature by placing a second child in this woman's womb.  She might not survive child birth because of it.  And, Jeremy might use the information against the person later.  I know that he is noble and honorable, but he also knows how to play his cards right." she explained and held the seed in her hand.

She smiled slightly as she looked into it.  "He shall have his father's eyes." she muttered.

Charles nodded. "I understand," he said softly and watched Lady Gaia. "You really enjoy your job," he said. "I can see it in your eye's," he said with a smile.

Lady Gaia nodded.  "But its decissions like these that make my job even harder.  I can never tell when a child of mine will try to conquer the entire world on his or her own." she said softly adn finally kissed the seed.

It glowed and then traveled up the tree.  "Be safe, son of Erikson." she muttered.

"Godspeed," said Charles as he watched the seed go up the tree. "Now all we do is wait," he said and walked over to Gaia.

Lady Gaia nodded slowly.  "Yes..in 9 months time we shall see if my plan works...or back fires.  I just pray that all will be safe." she said and leaned into Charle's chest.

Charles wrapped his arms around Gaia and held her close. "Everything will be alright. We have to have hope," he said softy.
