Ah, yes.  The most famous and popular form of character for many to apply for.  While it may be the perfered method it is also the most difficult to do.  Applying for a created character takes a measure of creativity, a bit of orginality, and most importanly time.  To truly make an excellent created character you will typically spend at least an hour or more working on them.

Jill has decided she wants to create a character for the RPG.  She can't think of an idea and goes to the Alias List to see if that can prompt her on any ideas.  On the list she sees a number of different ideas that intrigue her.  Finally though she decides on Garnet Knight, the Crystal Knight of Mystery.

The first thing she does is sit down and think off a quick outline for the character.  She decides since the character abilities are based on Mystery she'll make her character fit the bill.  He'll be a loner at heart and not much of a team player, and when not fighting youma, alone.  Then she also decides that she's going to be different and only give him one power, and one that most of the Senshi don't even know he has because his very powers are somewhat of a mystery.

Next she decides to give him a somewhat unpleasant past, to give reason for his nature as a loner and man of mystery.  She also adds an element of secrecy, things no one but he knows to the character.  The desire to keep those secrets are also part of why he is a loner and keeps to himself.

Finally she decides it's time to give him a look.  To that extent she decides to make his appearance not be what one would typically expect from a mysterious individual.  She decides to give him red hair opposed to the black that would be expected and have him dressed in a more normal fashion, rather than the typically expected all-black motife.

Finally she decides that she's only going to give him a small dagger for weapon and the only property is that it can hold it's own against other mystic weapons.  Finally she decides to just write a kinda introduction to the character for her sample and she starts filling in the minor details, finishing the character as shown below.

As you can see if you read the history the character does have a limited tie-in to the Imperium Knight and as such would have to be ran by the player of that character before actually accepting the application.  The detail though is minute and Jill does know that she can change it if need be.

Strengths:  An excellent marksmen, doesn't over-react to situations, and is always willing to help those in need.  Tony is also an excellent hand to hand combat, his style focusing though on in close, down a gritty battle.  He typically focuses on using his fists and elbows and battles and a bloody method, hitting with all of his strength and fighting with no mercy.

Weaknesses:  A loner by nature that doesn't work well with teams.  Tony typically goes off on his own when on missions and doens't work to plans very well.  He is also extremely protective of the secrets of his past and can't read.

Goals:  Someday, possibly find someone he trusts enough to teach him to read, be free of his burden, and build a cabin in the woods to live in for his life.

Fears:  Others finding out about his inability to leave and tragic past, that someday no natural beauty will remain on Earth, war tearing through beautiful wilderness, and getting close to anyone

Personality:  Tony is a loner.  He doesn't like being around others, but accepts that he has no choice in the matter.  He understands that his power gives him a responsibility to the world and the nature he cherishes.  Tony loves to be in the wild and forests and loves all animals.  He won't eat meat and spends as much time as possible in the park, sleeping in trees, away from others.  When it comes to his past Tony simply ignores questions or tells them 'nothing to say.'  What he has done before being a Senshi is a mystery to all, and where he is at times as well.

Normal Appearance:  Tony stands 6 feet tall and is of an averege build of muscle.  He has natural red hair which he lets grow out and hang free.  Currently his hair falls to about the middle of his back and he possess a pair of enticingly calm brown eyes.  When out and about Tony dresses in blue jeans, a button up shirt and hiking boots.  Around his neck he wears an oak leaf made of silver.

Senshi Appearance:  As the Garnet Knight Tony wears a suit of brown and red, simple plate style armor.  The armor covers his entire body except for his head.  His hair flows freely down his back during battle as it does during a fight.  On his waiste hangs a single shealth with his dagger within.

Garnet Surge:  Garnet Knight draws his dagger from his shealth and a swirly vortex of red and white energy appears around the blade.  The energy is then released when the blade stabs a target, causing the energy to expel through the target's body.  The energy itself flies from the body by literally exploding from the inside, not only injuring the victim, but also brutally maiming their internal organs.  The deadly nature of the attack forces Garnet Knight though not to use it in battle and instead rely on his natural combat skills.

Weapon

Garnet Dagger:  A small foot long dagger that is made of solid garnet.  The blade is extremely strong and able to withstand a blows from even the most powerful of mystic weapons.

History

Anthony Dante was born and raised in a small town in the wilderness of Japan.  His parents were both imigrants from American who had come to the wilds of Japan to avoid their own past, as wanted murders.  As a child Tony grew up feeling nothing but hate from his parents.  To them he was the means to carry on their brutal killings after they grew to old to do it themselves.

He was raised, being taught to attack to kill, to fight to kill, and most importantly show no mercy.  To that extent he was beaten when he failed, beaten if he questioned why, beaten when his parents were angry at him.  No matter what he wouldn't go a day without one of his parents raising their hand against him.

Their style, hit to kill.  He was taught to make every blow count, draw blood on every hit.  In short he was taught to destroy life.  Tony learned well, he learned to be strong, to show no fear, and to feel nothing.  On his sixteenth birthday his parents gave him the task as his inititation to kill the three dozen others living in the small town.

He achieved his goal with ease, brutally killing each and every one of them with his own bare hands.  Though he failed his parents expectations when he hesitated to crush a small infant's head in.  As punishment his parents turned on him, raising their hands to beat him for his hesitation.

This time though he didn't take it.  Instead this time he fought back, and when he did he unleashed a ferocity he never knew he had.  He struck with his fists in devastating force shattering their bones with his own bare hands.  When the authorities found the massacared town a year later Tony had already moved on.

He had been raised as a killer and decided it was time to do the only thing he knew, full time.  He took off to the city of Crystal Tokyo and soon took off on a killing spree.  Before long his series of serial killings brought about the attention of the Imperium Knight.  After months the Knight finally tracked Tony down and confronted him.

During a brutal fight Tony escaped, the single mask on his face remaining, his identity remaining unknown.  After that battle Tony fell in reclusive hiding for a few years before reemerging with a new motife.  This time though Tony made a fatal error in that the woman he loved found out about his second life.  To silence her he had no choice but to kill her, making her the last victim in that set of his serial killings.

Then on his 25th birthday he discovered his strange ablities after being ambushed by a youma.  Soon after he joined the Senshi, to defend the world against the ensuing evil.  Recently though another mysterious rash of serial killings have started, orchestrated by Tony, because who would suspect a member of the Senshi to be a serial killer.

Writing Sample

Tony stared down at the young woman below.  She was ripe for his desires.  She stood tall, with long legs and blonde hair along with beautiful crystal blue eyes.  To most she was a perfection of beauty, although she was known to be a sex-craving woman.  That little quirk wouldn't serve his purpose though.

He dropped out of his perch and slid out of the shadows.  A pop can crunched beneath his feet and she turned smiling at his appearance, "So handsome, going my way?"

He groaned inward at the pathetic line and stepped in closely, whispering, "For you, of course."

Her tounge glided over her red lips as he stepped up to her, their chests pressed together.  She was going to enjoy what she thought was going to happen.  Before she could think anything else though his hand flew over her mouth and he jammed a knife staight into her gut.

Carefully he pulled straight up, his raw strength and force fracturing the bones of her chest.  Then with one fluid motion he brought the blade across her throat, killing her quickly.  He glanced at his wrist as his communicator beeped, signaling him for action.

He sighed, not able to finish his plan and sprinted towards the call's location, "Crystal Garnet Power, Transform!"

His brown and red armor materialized about him as he lept into the air.  For now his best cover for his gruesome murders to remain a perfect example of a member of the Senshi forces.
